Danner makes a hunting boot that should fit just about every hunter’s wants and needs. Here is a quick rundown of their hunting boots.
The Hood Winter Light is a traditional 8” hunting boot with a Vibram® outsole and 100% waterproof Gore-Tex® lining. It also features 200 grams of Thinsulate™ insulation. The boot is made in the USA and good on tricky terrain. You can resole this boot for even more years of use.
The extremely popular Pronghorn boot line features the rugged Predator outsole and 100% waterproof Gore-Tex® lining. You can get uninsulated or Thinsulate insulation rated at 200g, 400g, or 1000g with this style. All the boots are 8” except the snake boot, which is 18” high. Several come in Realtree® or Mossy Oak® camouflage. These are a great all around hunting boot for moderate to colder temperatures. Many people love the particular fit of these boots.
The Blade line is designed for active all-day off trail stalking and early season hunts. They are available in uninsulated 8.5” Realtree, plain or a 7” Mossy Oak® 400g Thinsulate®. The dry quick the liners are once again Gore-Tex®.
The Canadian is a 10” traditional hunting boot with 600g Thinsulate®, Gore-Tex® lining made in the USA. This boot features the very aggressive Danner Bob® outsole which it probably why it is a favorite among guides. You can resole this boot because of it has a down stitching.
The Danner Elk Ridge hunting boots all feature the Danner Backcountry® outsole for durable all-day use in dangerous terrain. All models have the Gore-Tex® liners and come insulated with Thinsulate® at 400g, 600g, and 1000g or uninsulated. They are all 8” high except for the 600g, which is 9” tall. This is a boot that can be used extreme conditions both early or late hunting season.
The Jackal is a lightweight boot made for stalking quietly through the brush. It again features Gore-Tex® lining as all Danner hunting boots do and a unique Phantom outsole. It is an 8” uninsulated Mossy Oak® Obsession™ camo boot. Pigskin is the featured leather of this boot.
The Grouse is another old school looking hunting boot made in the USA. It is designed with big game and upland bird hunting in mind. This 8” features Gore-Tex® lining and the Danner Bob® outsole which tracks well in mud or snow. It has a durable Cordura® and leather upper to fend off abrasions and dry quickly. The stitchdown construction will enable you to have this model resoled. This is an uninsulated boot.
The Sierra model is a men or womens hunting boot that comes insulated with 200g Thinsulate®. The Vibram® outsole and Cordura® uppers make this a real tough 8” boot. The boot is made in the USA. It is also warm enough to wear during three seasons and numerous types of hunting conditions. Resole this boot once the outsole wears out.
The Danner Vanish line features gore-Tex® Scent-Lok®which, keeps your feet dry and your scent contained so your prey will not smell your presence. The outsole is of a new design, which offers maximum traction and support, but without added weight. These sharp looking boots come in a 9” Realtree®400g Thinsulate® insulated version or a 9” Mossy Oak® camo boot that is not insulated. You can also get an uninsulated 5” model. These boots are designed for hunters who like an athletic boot for keeping up with big game.
In addition, Danner offers the hunting boot collection called the Sharptail™ II boots. These are uninsulated boots designed for bird hunters. They feature the Gore-Tex® lining and Danner TFX™ Lite outsole. This outsole is gives great traction but stays lightweight. The TERRA FORCE™ X Lite stability system is also featured in this boot. Again, this keeps you stable and mobile but without added weight which is helpful when doing upland bird hunting. There is a 6”and 8” size available. You can also get a rear zippered model in this boot.
